2 year Progress Check/Health Review
This practitioner resource has been
developed for use during an 'integrated' two year review that includes
the health review
It
is a desk top resource measuring 210mm wide x 100mm high (approx), in a 'tent
card' style that enables it to sit on a surface. The resource is 'wiro bound' at
the top, enabling you to 'flip-over' each page during use. The contents cover
the following areas:
Any
concerns about under-weight or over-weight?
Any concerns about eyes and ears - vision and hearing?
Using a dummy or bottle
Any concerns about behaviour?
Awareness of home safety
Having a varied diet and textures
Up-to-date with immunisations?
Toilet learning
Are teeth healthy? Visiting a dentist
Concerns about feet, shoes and common foot problems
Nursery place (if not in a nursery already)
The
page for each section of the subjects outlined above, carries important
discussion points and basic tips and information for practitioners to refer to
when talking with parents/carers about the health review and other additional
areas. There are also useful support materials that are referred to in each
section should you want to cover an area in more detail. These can be accessed
at our two-year progress check website at www.2yearprogresscheck.org.uk.
The detailed information comes in a range of publications including Development
Wheels, leaflets, booklets and other resources. Some are free to download whilst
others are publications that are available through this website. For instance
the tips on Home Safety are supported in more detail through the Safety in the
Home Development Wheels. There is also an online references section at the back
of the resource for access to further information through the web.
